I rather think a low impedence mike is generally preferred. Note the pinout information on P. 13 of the manual where a low impedence mike (approx. 600 ohms) is indicated. However, the K3 can be used with either high or low impedence microphones, and that is dealt with via a menu setting. See P. 20 of the owners manual, left column, last paragraph.
