Fred, The 'opposite' TX INH topic has been discussed before (and confirmed..?) and this was relevant to me as a Yaesu FT990 user. However earlier posts from Eric claimed an amp keying loop is unnecessary with the K3/K2 and a modern amp. Yesterday I put K3 0145(!) on air with my Acom 1000 amp and can confirm (and concur with Brendan Minish EI6IZ) that the K3 keys this modern amp perfectly in full qsk with just the straight key out connection. Note also that the TX INH feature is described under Transverter Control in the manual, not under amp keying. The K3 is a great radio; the problem for me now is my 30A power supply sounds like a worn out vacuum cleaner when it kicks in - any suggestions for a nice quiet p/s available in the UK...? Also is there no easy way to reference earlier posts in the archives here?
