Mike, I ordered my K3 in December also, so don't have any hands on, but after hearing the guys work at VP6DX I am not worried about it. The person doing the complaining seemed to have different expectations than I do for SSB. I don't expect to filter out a SSB signal that is 2 khz up or to have good sounding audio with a 1 kHz bandpass. I am confident and hopeful that the K3 will be a noticeable improvement over my TS-850, but don't expect that Elecraft has repealed the laws of physics.
