Lee, 

Zero beat would be considered to be whatever side tone pitch value you have
set. Then it is up to the operator to tune accordingly, and the K3 has an
"auto spot" feature that does a pretty good job zero beating automatically.

In theory it makes sense to me, but I have no clue what would be involved to
make it work.
