I've got a K3 on order, and I'm not worried at all about timing issues switching my amplifier. I use a microHam CW keyer to key all my rigs. The cw keyer uses the K1EL chip that puts out a PTT signal (for keying an amplifier) with programmable lead-in and tail times with respect to the CW output for keying the transmitter.
