Ed, I'd be very cautious around Li-Poly batteries. From what I know, they require a very careful charging program. Most of them have temperature sensing and a special chip built-in that signals back to the charger. On the other hand, your panel is very low power so maybe it's OK. I really don't know, but I just want you to take caution.
Windy KM5Q Hello all, I plan to conduct some tests. I have a small solar panel that puts out 50ma maximum. I'll connect it to my "pimped-out KX1" and see how it charges the 11.8v Li-Poly Battery. More to come... 72, Kangaroo Ed, WA3WSJ -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/KX1-and-Solar-Panel-tp16340778p16357831.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: Elecraft@mailman.qth.net You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
