LOOSE PHONES JACK and RATTLING WASHER RESOLVED!

I removed the left side panel to see what's up. There was a very small gap due to slight bowing forward of the front panel. Again I could squeeze it shut with my fingers and re-tighten the nut, but when plugging in phones, it would again loosen immediately. I placed cloth over the round nut and tightened it carefully with pliers. It's fine until I find a hex nut that fits.

Elecraft: Why not supply a hex nut and flat washer? It would make it safe, easy and secure.

VFO A SHAFT was off-90° RESOLVED!

I was sure I had tightened the front panel nut, perhaps too much, using a box-end wrench. I removed the knob and plastic and found to my surprise that it was NOT tight. Something shifted? I don't know. I gave the nut some gentle torque with the wrench and it came out almost perfectly straight, and definitely good enough.

All's well in the shack.
