The point is, you don't have to get nervous about any SWL enhancements. If
you choose not to install a wide filter, or a general coverage BPF, or set
the low frequency response to 5 Hz or whatever, it shouldn't make any
difference to you as a ham band only user. Besides, I doubt the good folks
at Elecraft would do anything that would diminish the amateur band
performance just to keep us pesky SWLs happy...
