Hi Tom,

I have not had a problem with mp3's and iTunes. As a matter of fact all my music in iTunes is all MP3.

I have been doing something similar for about a year now.

I use the following CW MP3 collections and listen every night on my iPhone when I go QRT.

N6TR's Sprint practice

K5ZD off the air contest audio

G4ZFE /9M2/3W

Personally I find the real off the air recordings to be much more effective then computer generated practice. Training your brain with real life sounds (QRN, QSB, QRM and LIDS) I have found my code speed to skyrocket.

I hope this helps, it sure has for me.

Off topic a bit but I think quite a few guys would like to improve their code speed...

I read in the Hints es Kinks of QST Feb 08 a tip on using MP3 player using downloaded mp files from W1AW...sounds good so far. I downloaded the mp3 files from W1AW into iTunes library and did sync with iPod Nano. Does not xfer....I can play the code practice direct from iTunes but want the versatility of taking walks with cw singing in my ears....I have moved the files into library files where other music exists and delibrately wiped the Nano clean and started over. Still no luck on downloading the cw files. The specs for Nano say MP3 compatible with 320 to 32000hz...any body had any luck with this setup? BTW, nice of W1AW to provide mp3 and text to check later or as a 'sing along'...www.arrl.org/w1aw/morse.html
