My first thought on the matter is to agree with Fern, but after thinking about it for a while, pressing the POWER button is not so hard and it will allow the K3 to turn itself off on low voltage and protect your battery for battery operations. I have come to think of this as a good feature even though I am not set up for battery operation at this time. It will also let you know right away if you have a loose power connection or a defective power supply. I vote to keep the K3 like it is.
