Following from my troubles with unstable agc after going to 2.31, I tried 2.32, hoping that somehow the problem would be fixed. No such luck unfortunately.
The symptoms, which appear with or without an antenna connected, and only with agc switched on, are rapid excursions up to 20 to 30dB over S9 and the consequent reduction in audio output. Reverting back to 2.23 completely clears the problem. I have cycled the power, performed an ee init, scratched my head etc etc. Before I performed the ee init I saved the radio's config using the mac version of the utility I have always used before but when I restored it after the ee init I still had to go through the menu settings to get the radio back to its original state- I don't know whether this has anything to do with it.
