Oops, there it is on page 29. Tone encode is set up by holding PI TCH. Rotate VFO A to select a CTCSS tone frequency (or the European repeater access tone, 1750 Hz). Use VFO B to turn tone encode on (PL TONE) or off (PL OFF).
