Tom, Sorry, but there is no good cure for your exhausted SLA battery. They do have a limited lifetime, but if left discharged for a significant length of time, there is no bringing them back. I would guess that your efforts to bring it back to life would cost you more time and energy than the cost of a new battery - but then each has his own criteria for the worth of his time - YMMV.
