MY K3 is hooked up via my Microham MK2R. I have never seen the radio change
frequency by itself. You have to watch that you do not click in either the
available window or the band map or you will change frequency.

Did the radio really change frequency or did the callsign just disappear?

Subject: [Elecraft] [K3] Missed QSOs with N1MM and KUSB

I worked in the 160m SSB contest last week. K3 did great and DVR was
especially useful. I used N1MM logger with KUSB and Vista.

A few times callsigns being written into the QSO field in N1MM were
automatically cleared before the complete callsign was in. It concided with
frequency change in the N1MM window as if the radio was QSYing slowly while
in fact it was not. It started after either changing to a new frequency or
using RIT. It seemed that the computer was recording intermediate
frequencies for a few seconds before it stabilized at the frequency
indicated on K3.

Such experience is new to me. I used N1MM for several years and K3 for a few
month. New this time were KUSB instead of another USB/serial device, new
KUSB driver (from Elecraft website), new Vista updates, new firmware etc.

Did anybody notice anything similar?

Ignacy
