I had time last night to work on the problem I was having getting CW Type to key the K-3. I was getting the red transmit light but no RF going out the wire. VOX was on and the K-3 was not in test mode. I found that my difficulty is understanding the PTT-KEY menu selections. I cycled through each and finally found that the OFF-DTR selection worked. The CW Type setup menu is for PTT = RTS and KEY = DTR. Don't understand it, but I'm getting the result I was looking for.
