Dennis: Have a look at the Pelican 1520. My purchase included the optional 1527 Nylon travel bag. The bag can be removed from the hard case when less demanding transportation protection is adequate. I've used my 1520 case as carry-on luggage and also purchased the TSA-compliant lock.
