... it appears that the long supremacy of the FT1000 series as an NFD rig has finally passed. The most commonly appearing transceiver in 2009 was the Elecraft K2/3 series, with nine in use. I know that for quite a few years, our club used a K2. So what more could one hope for as a recommendation for portable use?
