The TUN PWR is not working. I went into CONF and changed it to 8.0 and the power on 100 watts. I turned off the radio and when I hit the tune it was reading 40 watts on AM. I tried it a few times and could not get it to work.
Now about the tune button. I always use the tune button when I am checking the external antenna tuner on 5 watts. Once I get a 1.1 swr, then I turn up the power to 100 watts and hit tune again. I was hoping there would be a button for high/low power in the firmware. Now if it is supposed to default on 8.0 watts once I set it (once I get it working) , then I still have to turn up the power to 100 watts with the knob and key on cw to tune the amp. I need a quick tune button. 5 watts for antenna tune and 100 watts to push the amp with the amp already preset. As they say in one of the adverts for pasta sauce "Its already in there". Check out the K3 menu CONFIG: TUN PWR. It will set the TUNE power to whatever level you select without regard to the power level set on the knob - if it is set to NOR (which it likely is now) the TUNE power will follow the power knob. 73, Don W3FPR -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/Low-and-High-Power-Cmd-tp4210880p4211132.html Sent from the [K3] mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
