Yes, I have had this failure mode and at least one other guy as well, who posted about on this list. After talking with tech support, Elecraft sent me a new KPAIO3 board to try. Just havng returned from holiday vacation, I have yet to swap it in, which I really need to get around to. Will let you know as soon as I try it. I suspect it will fix the problem. Just a hunch. :-)
There may have been a few or a bunch of these boards that had a bad (i.e., early mortality) device. Beginning to sound like it, maybe.
