I've been using a MFJ-998 with my K3/ALS-600 for almost two years now. Works great. I also used it with an ALS-1300 that I had here for about two months, and the MFJ-998 easily handled the higher power of the ALS-1300. The MFJ-998 is primarily used with my 43-foot vertical on all bands. I do have base matching on 160/80 meters, but just the unun interface on 40-10 meters.
