Jeff, I am not certain what you are referring to as "a KXV3 with the KXV3 RXA board". If you are referring to the RX Antenna, I believe that always has been a part of the KXV3. If there was a different KXV3 RXA version, would someone please inform me. Yes, the KXV3A is required to install the K144XV - the "A" version has the switching for the K144XV, and the "non-A" version does not. I would say you need to order the KXV3_UPGR so you can be prepared when your K144XV arrives.
