Hi Gary Who suggested that the TS480 is somehow better than the K3? Radios with 60 db IMD dynamic range are substandard.
The Kenwood TS480S is well designed and very well constructed radio that has very few flaws. The PA stage is also very well constructed. Compared to the FT857 and the IC7000 the TS480 is built like a tank. The Elecraft designers are Kenwood fans, that says a lot!
