George, The 2 button press is always like a HOLD (there is no 2 button TAP), except you do it to 2 buttons at once. I use two fingers of one hand. It may take a little practice. As many times as I have done that "2 button press", I occasionally miss the window, especially on the mode change using the outermost 2 buttons - I sometimes get RIT on and have to turn RIT off and try again - so just watch the display to be certain you got it right.
