The K3 Utility does not discard old revisions of firmware. It leaves  
them in place. But it does use only rhe latest revision found in the  
firmware folder.

You shouldn't really need a new folder every time unless you prefer  
to. Nothing is overwritten except the firmware release notes and the  
little file that describes the K3 Utulity version itself. Thar file is  
used to inform you of née J3 Utility versions.
