What I have gleaned so far is that the detection is done digitally, making it unlike analog panadapters we have seen so far - LP-Pan and SoftRock and others which use I-Q signals at baseband for display. From the photos, the spectrum display is much sharper and clear than others I have seen (including the Flexradio display), but I will have to wait until Dayton to see one 'in the flesh'. In the meantime, I just look at the photos. There have been a number of statements ON THIS MAILING LIST that give a lot of information about the P3 that that answer many of these recent questions.
