Hi Geoff

Lets hope the regulators do act. As you say anyone who needs convincing just 
needs to tune the 40 meter band. Now that we have SDR receivers the mess is 
plain  as daylight.

Most of the objections to out of band emissions assume that these regulations 
are very onerous, they are not. The IMD requirements are modest, all that it 
required is proper attention be payed to TX design details. I am hopeful that 
the regulators will bite the bullet and act soon.
