Gary, it's likely a COM port issue.

First, K3Voice "uses up" the COM port when it is running, so no other
program can access the K3 using the same COM port.  Close K3Voice before
attempting to connect with the K3 Utility.

The K3 Utility will need to use the same COM port that you're using with K3
Voice.

The Port tab contains a button labeled "Test Communications" that may be
used to verify connectivity.  When successful, a popup occurs that indicates
the connection was made.  Until then, the K3 Utility will "poll" the
selected COM port.  Polling status is displayed in the program's title bar.

Just added the kfl3 to my k3.

Can't get k3 utility to communicate with the k3.
However, k3voice works fine.

Still using the same old edgeport I've always used, no software changes to 
the pc that I can think of.

How can I test further?
