I have recently purchased a very early K2 (S/N 152) and would like reasonable suggestions on how to up slightly the output of the PA stage. Recalling from way back when I actually built a K2 (S/N 157, subsequently sold), the available drive was affected by winding of toroids, selection of driver transistor etc. I can't go class C as I have the ssb module in the rig. My goal is to have the power level of the Tentec Argonaut V but with the K2 receiver! My interests are entirely portable/backcountry use.
