When I originally built my K2 in 2001, I purchased the KAF2. I never much liked
it. The filters were too ringy for my tastes. About the only thing I used was
the basic low-pass filter.

I bought the KDSP2 when it came out, and find it eminently useful. On SSB, I
have the automatic notch filter on all the time. I also have a progression of
audio filters that enhance the usefulness of the OP1 filter. I find that the
audio filters really clean up the pattern of the crystal filter on SSB.

For RTTY and CW, I also use the audio filters to clean up the crystal filters,
but the crystal filters are much more useful.

I don't have much use for the Noise Reduction modes. Generally signals that are
weak enough for me to want it are too weak for it to be effective.

I find the KDSP2 to be invaluable on SSB, and useful on RTTY and CW. I would
recommend the KDSP2 for any K2 owner.
