You can help Elecraft support your local hamfest, spread the word about Elecraft products, and have a lot of fun in the process.
Elecraft attends as many hamfests as possible each year to provide hams with an opportunity of seeing our products in person. Yet there are many great hamfests each year that we are unable to attend. Fortunately for us, many Elecraft enthusiasts have been willing to bring their own Elecraft radios and accessories to hamfests and demonstrate them. Even if no one can attend on our behalf, we still extend our support through prize donations and literature contributions when possible. If you’re interested in setting up a table at your local hamfest, please let us know! We will pay for the table (or booth), and we’ll also send a banner, literature and a few goodies to hand out. All you’ll need to do is bring your Elecraft products, answer questions, and talk a bit about your experience. Two or more people working together is ideal, as it gives everyone a chance to see the show and take breaks. Depending upon the size of the crowd and your time, even one person can do it. No actual selling of products is involved. As we are unable to attend Huntsville AL Hamfest this year ourselves, is there anyone interested? Upcoming hamfests already covered: July 24: Milton, FL — Mike, AI4NS (I’m sure he could use some help) Aug: 14 - Eric, WA6HHQ Aug 27: Boxboro, MA — Eric, WA6HHQ Sept. 17: ARRL SW Convention, San Diego, CA — Wayne, N6KR and Eric, WA6HHQ Oct. 16: Pacificon, San Ramon, CA — Wayne, N6KR and Eric, WA6HHQ Let us know about your local hamfest and whether you’re interested in participating or might know of someone who is.
