This is a problem I ran into after following Dr. Baker's Electric Tutorial, video lecture #8. I am using Electric v8.09_modified_Oct17.
After setting the parasitics to "Conservative RC" by going to Preferences>Tools>Spice, I design a layout for an RC circuit, run the design checks (DRC, NCC, and well check), and write to spice deck. When I click on the output file, the netlist appears, and a window called "Spice Error" appears. The message in the error window says "Multiple instances of C:_100f_...@1:1." The only way I can avoid this error window and run the simulation successfully is to change parasitics to "Trans Area/Perim Only." When I run this version, there are no parasitics in the netlist, so the model is almost ideal. How can I run "Conservative RC" parasitics without getting an error in LTspice? Should I try running in HSpice instead? Sasha -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Electric VLSI Editor" group.
