Probably, experience with SPICE helps. Maybe, it is not enough though. I think they are looking for additional experience such as with Cadence, Verilog/VHDL, and at least one programming language (like C++).
You can find that they looking for such experience in job descriptions like those at: HP Electrical Hardware Engineer-1341781 ( https://hp.taleo.net/careersection/2/jobdetail.ftl?lang=en&job=3008387&src=JB-12340 ) Intel ASIC SoC Design Engineer - 742914 ( https://intel.taleo.net/careersection/10000/jobdetail.ftl?job=742914&src=JB-10400 ) Intel CAD Engineer - 737080 ( https://intel.taleo.net/careersection/10000/jobdetail.ftl?job=737080 ) Nvidia ASIC Design Engineer ( http://www.nvidia.com/page/job_descriptions.html ) Internships can sometimes lead to full-time positions or the experience from one would likely help to fetch such a job. So you might look for and try applying for internships like: United Technologies BIS-WHQ Intern, Electrical Engineering ( http://www.utc.com/Careers/Job/BIS-WHQ-Intern-Electrical-Engineering-Farmington-Connecticut/4913893 ) Micron Intern ASIC Design Engineer ( http://jobs.micron.com/job/Milpitas-Intern-ASIC-Design-Engineer-Job-CA-95035/221452000/ ) However, I'm also currently looking for my first full-time entry-level engineer position, so maybe my advice is not so reliable. Hope the information above helps and good luck.
