I don't understand what you are trying to do. Do you want the Cell
Explorer window to run across the top/bottom instead of left/right? How
does that make it at all usable?
Some changes like that may be available in the look-and-feel of
Electric. Others will require recoding. And yes, the code is all in
com.sun.electric.tool.user.ui
