When writing the Spice deck, before clicking the Save button, select "All Files" for the "Files of type", then enter your "File name" with the .cir extension [ http://www.ee.virginia.edu/~mrs8n/electric/Tutorial1.htm ].

If you already saved the the Spice deck file with the .spi extension, then just change the file extension to .cir [ http://myweb.wit.edu/johnsont/Classes/632/ELEC632Lab6Simulation.htm ].

I believe that should work if you were able to set the settings in "Spice/CDL Preferences" [ http://www.staticfreesoft.com/jmanual/mchap09-04-03.html ] such that it outputted the Spice deck file in a format compatible with your Spice software.

Hi:

When writing the Spice deck,
is there any way to generate a .cir file instead of a .spi file?
Thanks in advance.
