All, I have been digging through the Java files to try and find why I cannot create a situation where the DRC will trigger a SPACINGE rule when two layers' edges cross. Specifically, I want to trigger it between metal1 and poly1. Even using the Design Rules tab of the preferences, I cannot seem to create one that will trigger. I get a null pointer exception when I try to create on in the design rules tab. I've tried manually creating one in an XML file and loading it but it does not trigger. I've tried using the MOCMOS rules but those do not seem to trigger either. Could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong, or what code I need to edit to get this to trigger properly? Also, a example library that would trigger the edge spacing rule in MOCMOS would be much appreciated. Please let me know if there is any other information you would like me to provide.
