9.07 came out 17 months after 9.06, so it has plenty of changes. The
current source code is at 9.08, which has not been formally released,
and will not be so for quite a while. So 9.07 is the recommended
production version.

Electric is written in Java, so there is no EXE file. You run
the JAR file, but you have to install Java first. Java 7 is
needed for the downloadable JAR files, but if you are working
