Okay.

I can provide minimal mentoring with Java for those who have good understanding
of EDA and ASIC technology and volunteers to develop electric, but is
lacking sufficient
knowledge of Java or software technology itself.
But don't ask me too many questions, please!;)
(You know my E-mail guys/gals...)

Let's organize a "micro-comunity" of development inside community of
Electric users!
I am polling the next to a "draftman's board", Sir!;)
Yes, Sir!

Let's write down the most important feature requests and see what we
can do for now...

I suggest these features here:

[1] add template command lines for various SPICE clones (WinSpice,
NGSpice, BSPICE ...)
[2] add technology support for FreePDK
[3] add extraction of load models of analog pins

Any more ideas?

[1] Feature description:
user open simulation setup form and select SPICE simulator.
if command line field is empty then it filled with default command line
for chosen SPICE at hte moment when user selects SPICE with dropdown.
     Implementstion:
Find this window in sourcecode and implement feature, just hardcoded
command line templates would be okay! I can provide command
line for NGSpice,
who can give us command lines for othe SPICE clones? Help would
be appretiated!

[2] ... no delailed plan so far, just suggest that technology editor
needs to be made a bit more transparent

[3] ... no implementation plan, just usecase requirments:
analog designer develops analog block in Electric and this
block needs to be integrated with digital block (developed in Cadens
       tools for example).
Electric need to be able to generate some kind of "pin load" model
(note thet NOT pad-load, but pin-load) appropriate for some standard
format: SDF, libberty, AMS-Verilog or whatever most
appropriate for this purpose.
As result the digital workflow must be able to replace analog block
with semi-analog behavioral model of inputs and outputs due to
use logiceffort-like delay models for routing and postrouting
delay extraction
