I believe that error (Unknown schematic syntax) with the LTspice XVII
Aug 9 2018 release [1] has been fixed.
Try the LTspice XVII Sep 4 2018 release at [2] or in LTSPICE try
upgrading the release to that by clicking Tools -> Sync Release.
