Dear gardener_26,
the tension on the coil of the speaker may not be enough.
Especially if the impedance of the speaker coil is low.
(P=U*U/R ... and marketing acoustic power is not the same as
electrical power... )
I used to use a small transformer 1=>10 in place of the speaker of my
40W amplifier. (avoids also DC and provide isolation in case of a
faulty mass)
TENS have *OPEN* output in the 70V... wich become much lower with a
charge.
Then a waweforme of low frequency (let say 80Hz) is going to give a
higher output than one of high frequency.
Be very, very carefull, the fact you ask mean that you may be not very
experienced/trained with electricity, and amplifiers. You should
rather use a commercial dedicated device operated from a single battery.
And honestly, managing a computer and an amplifier while stimming is
unpractical, uncool.
This stuff is dangerous. Death can occur if you make some mistake.
Or if your equipment is faulty. (check the safety of your amplifier,
ground loops, use transformers for isolation... etc...)
If you want to experiment in perfect safety, use optical isolation for
audio signal from your computer, or an unplugged laptop, use/build an
amplifier running on battery, with care put to maximum energy
possible, in case of failures. Wear something non conductive on your hand.
(how strange, i am ashamed of explaining that and spoiling all the
fun. On the other hand, the security requirements may add to the
excitation ;-)
