Well to begin with you are asking for trouble using a set up that
depends on your wall out let for the power. The safest way is to use
BATTERY (9 volt) powered speakers. in this way the maximum spike you
could get voltage wise would be 9 volts dc in case of a short not 120
VAC from the wall. Ther are many threads on safe stero stiming at
