The tools are already here. Just open dconf-editor and you can easily change the palette scheme of the terminal.
*Right now*, we want to focus on making pantheon-terminal ready so that we can release Luna. The Gnome Terminal scheme is pretty good and our designers don't really have the time to work on a brand new color scheme. Voldyman suggested we use Tango. Tango looks good. Also, I think we're overestimating the importance of the terminal color scheme...
