Like it or not, there is a distinct difference in the eyes of most
consumers between "Mac" and "PC". Mac being a computer made by Apple,
and PC being pretty much everyone else. If we just put "Computer" it's
not entirely clear whether or not this is PC only or it also runs on
your Mac.
I know, I know. You know that doesn't make sense. Of course it runs on
the Mac. It's the same processor architecture right? But stop and think
from the point of view of the casual and non-technical Mac user who is
constantly bombarded with "This software only works on PCs" and "Macs
are not PCs".

Title:
No distinction should be made between a Mac and a PC in the Download
link
Status in elementary Website:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Currently, the Download button in the main page reads: “Get the latest
version of elementary OS for free to install on your Mac or PC.”
Why is the distinction made between a Mac and a PC? Do you get different
features installing in one or other? Furthermore, when referring to a Mac, it
usually implies both hardware (MacBook) and software (MacOS). Does that mean
that elementary OS runs inside Mac OS?
If the distinction is made because of the software, why are Dell, HP, Vaio,
Asus, Toshiba, etc, not specified also?
A better text would be “Get the latest version of elementary OS for
free to install on your computer.”
