using the Postmodern backend. I assume there's no sane way to share a

* Use the Postmodern store with the old branch of Elephant
(and be prepared to stay with it unless you make it work
with the latest changes).
* Develop or find a BDB server and integrate it into Elephant.
third option would be to fix few postmodern glitches in a new branch.
iirc it was almost working right last time i've checked
