I'm really, really sorry about that. I really hope that the E-mail I use now
is one you have encountered by now. If not, it's the one I've hoped to have
settled on. Sneakemail is really awesome, but I obviously haven't integrated
it's use too well into my E-mail client. I'll work on it and really watch
out for the address used for an messages I send to this mailing list.

Okay, so my request for the this feature as a general solution was somewhat
intentional, but I here's the application I was discussing on the IRC
channel... a del.icio.us interface similar to the "extensions" available for
Firefox and Konqueror, and also what's available through Javascript on the
site itself.

The is of some importance to me, because I think that del.icio.us has quite a
bit of sustaining merits, and it's used by enough people that its utility
isn't waning. I just prefer using the site as my central repository of
links.

It's possible to make a little bit of an interface to the del.icio.us site
with Elinks as it is. A scripting "smart prefix" could be used to
convert "del www.mysite.com" to "http://del.icio.us/tnks?url=www.mysite.com";,
which would bring up a del.icio.us page to post the link.

The greatest problem with this method is that the site employs a lot of
Javascript to manage it's tag recommendations. Tag management is one of the
more useful features of the site, and I'd really like Elinks to somehow
support it. Del.icio.us has an API that allows for tag management. They
send back some XML in reponse to a web query. This provides a nice
opportunity to get around Elink's lack of Javascript support. However, I
need the traditional widgets (menus, pulldowns, radio buttons, etc.) if I'm
going to dynamically present to the user tags for selection the way
del.icio.us does. I think the Javascript on the del.icio.us site well
illustrates the functionality that I'm looking for. I recommend you set up a
quick little account on the site if you don't already have one, and try
posting a link to see this web interface. It would be easier than my trying
to explain what it does in words.

But I think if you offer widgets in general, I might even be in a position to
improve upon the interface del.icio.us offers. I really don't have any exact
requirements for these widgets. I don't even need "all" of them, just enough
to allow for some nice interaction with the user. I don't know the internals
of Elinks well enough to know whether it would be easier to expose widgets
used by web forms, or widgets used by Elinks itself, or maybe they're both
one in the same.

Let me know if there's anything more I can help out with, or if there's any
threads or bug reports I should read in particular (I haven't read anything
specific yet).
