I think diff -up would be preferred.  Also please add yourself to
AUTHORS.

Currently ELinks is licensed under GPLv2.  There has been some
talk of restoring the "or any later version" option, for
compatibility with libraries that may switch from LGPLv2 to
LGPLv3.  Relicensing would require permission from all copyright
holders so maybe I'd better start asking now.  Will you license
your code under GPLv2 only, or "version 2 or later"?
