I have pushed to master two patches that should together fix the crash:
0f6add14f263a032d9ad2e6060d5971c24777e59 Update document.comb_x and comb_y when
splitting lines.
8548108e39a9427f69ddba5a5256d4a38cc0f408 Make document.comb_{x,y} not relative
to part.box.As documented in configure --help and features.conf, --enable-combining or CONFIG_COMBINE is an experimental feature. Exactly what that means, I am not sure. Perhaps it means I should have guessed CONFIG_COMBINE caused the crash. I hope nobody is distributing binaries with this feature enabled.
