OK – figured it out – sorry to waste your time!

(required an “export” instead of an “import” in TortoiseSVN – counter-intuitive
to me!)

Thanks David,

Stupid question:

Which Windows “tool” can import from that “svn” webpage?

I tried TortoiseSVN but it asks for username/pwd and my sourceforge credentials
don’t work on it. So can’t seem to be able to import anything from that link
(that’s why I eventually landed up using
http://sourceforge.net/projects/edk2/files/UDK2014_Releases/UDK2014.SP1.P1/UDK2014.SP1.P1.Complete.MyWorkSpace.zip/download
  - which has those two directories missing).

Its probably me but any help would be appreciated!

Regards

Gerard

Please follow following two steps of the release note to get
Vlv2DeviceRefCodePkg and Vlv2TbltDevicePkg from
https://svn.code.sf.net/p/edk2/code/branches/UDK2014.SP1.

2. Create the following folders (sub-directories) from your workspace (e.g.
"C:\MyWorkspace"):

       BaseTools

       Conf

       CryptoPkg

       EdkCompatibilityPkg

       EdkShellBinPkg

       FatBinPkg

       IntelFrameworkModulePkg

       IntelFrameworkPkg

       MdeModulePkg

       MdePkg

       NetworkPkg

       PcAtChipsetPkg

       PerformancePkg

       SecurityPkg

       ShellBinPkg

       ShellPkg

       SourceLevelDebugPkg

       UefiCpuPkg

       Vlv2DeviceRefCodePkg

       Vlv2TbltDevicePkg

3. Obtain the following BSD-licensed source code packages and files from the
tianocore.org (hosted by sourceforge.net)

SVN (SubVersion) repository and place them into their respective folders
(subdirectories) created in

   step 2 (above):

   "Revision 16679 of UDK2014.SP1 branch
https://svn.code.sf.net/p/edk2/code/branches/UDK2014.SP1 "

Additional Info relating to my earlier questions:

I populated the “MyWorkspace” directories/files from:

http://www.tianocore.org/udk2014/

which provides this link for downloading:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/edk2/files/UDK2014_Releases/UDK2014.SP1.P1/UDK2014.SP1.P1.Complete.MyWorkSpace.zip/download

The above “UDK2014.SP1.P1.Complete.MyWorkSpace.zip” file does not seem to
include the two required:

- MyWorkspace/Vlv2TbltDevicePkg
and

- MyWorkspace/ Vlv2DeviceRefCodePkg

directories/contents.

Subject: [EDK2][MNW2]: Problem building MinnowMAX firmware 0.77 on Windows.

Hi guys,

I am trying to build the minnowMAX firmware (latest v0.77) and have followed
the instructions found here:

http://firmware.intel.com/sites/default/files/MinnowBoard_MAX_Rev.077-ReleaseNotes.txt

However, I got stuck on the last step, which says:

1) To build a release version:

Open a command prompt window (make certain you "Run as Administrator").

      Type the command: "cd C:\MyWorkspace\Vlv2TbltDevicePkg"

Type the command "Build_IFWI.bat MNW2 Release" to build a release version.

The problem is that the directory “Vlv2TbltDevicePkg” in MyWorkspace is empty
and there is no reference to it in any of the previous steps. So my question is:

1. How do I get/create the contents for this directory: Vlv2TbltDevicePkg
(& this one Vlv2DeviceRefCodePkg )?

2. Will it correctly setup/run the build scripts when using Visual Studio
Community (instead of the very old Visual Studio 2008 which is the recommended
default)?

3. Any other tips & tricks?

Thanks

Gerard Bucas
