I have a similar situation on my x86_64 Fedora 11 laptop : Moovida takes up over 100% of the CPU (about 1-1/2 core) when idle. Not an ideal situation. I have a basic Intel GPU and compiz enabled, so I haven't bothered looking much further yet. But on my HTPC which is x86_64 Fedora 10 with an Nvidia GPU (w/ proprietary driver) and no compiz, this doesn't seem to happen. In my case, the main differences I see are : * intel vs. nvidia * compiz vs. metacity * python 2.6 vs. 2.5 * twisted web2 0.2.0 vs. 8.1.0 Matthias -- Clean custom Red Hat Linux rpm packages : http://freshrpms.net/ Fedora release 10 (Cambridge) - Linux kernel 2.6.27.21-170.2.56.fc10.x86_64 Load : 0.14 0.29 0.27
