This seems a lot like the thing that I have found unusually useful in TypeScript land: tsserver <https://github.com/Microsoft/TypeScript/wiki/Standalone-Server-%28tsserver%29>. Looking at that case, it seems like a language server would make for much more streamlined efforts around the language tooling, IMHO. 🤔
