Announcing the release of kmod-ixgbe packages into the EL5 elrepo-testing repository:
http://elrepo.org/tiki/kmod-ixgbe This package has been created as a result of the following RFE: http://elrepo.org/bugs/view.php?id=270 It provides the Intel® 82598-, 82599- & X540-based PCI-Express* 10 gigabit Ethernet adapter driver and is kABI compatible with all kernels from 5.4 (kernel-2.6.18-164.el5) upwards. It is built to depend upon the specific ABI provided by a range of releases of the same variant of the Linux kernel and not on any one specific build. The following files are currently syncing to the mirrors: x86 kmod-ixgbe-3.9.15-1.el5.elrepo.i686.rpm kmod-ixgbe-PAE-3.9.15-1.el5.elrepo.i686.rpm kmod-ixgbe-xen-3.9.15-1.el5.elrepo.i686.rpm x86_64 kmod-ixgbe-3.9.15-1.el5.elrepo.x86_64.rpm kmod-ixgbe-xen-3.9.15-1.el5.elrepo.x86_64.rpm src ixgbe-kmod-3.9.15-1.el5.elrepo.src.rpm End user testing of this package (& subsequent feed-back) will be appreciated and would also speed its eventual promotion to the main repository.
